After participating in the donation for the 921 earthquake in 1999, Walsin Technology’s employees discovered that there were still many disadvantaged children and elderly people in Taiwan who needed long-term assistance through organized groups. Therefore, they spontaneously established the "WTC Charity Foundation" in April 2000, with NTD100 per month withheld from their monthly salaries as funds for donation. This plan received the encouragement and support from the President Chu, You-Yi at that time, and the Company also allocated the same amount as the employee salary donation amount to double the effect. Subsequently, the members actively increased the fixed salary donation amount according to their own abilities, and from then on, the WTC Charity Foundation has more strength to be dedicated to social welfare activities. Later in April 2007, the Ministry of the Interior registered and approved the establishment of the "ROC WTC Charity Foundation", which officially became a national association.
Dedicated to helping vulnerable children in remote areas
The WTC Charity Foundation has been utilizing limited resources to continuously assist disadvantaged children in remote areas for a long time, providing assistance in nutritional meals, after-school tutoring, book supplementation, repair of teaching equipment, transportation, and children's sports shoes.
In addition to continuous cooperating with rural schools to improve the quality of education for disadvantaged children, the director and relevant officials visited the adopted units every year to provide appropriate support for the needs of each school, hoping that students can have better resources and to broaden their horizons in their learning process.
Fulfilling corporate social responsibility is an integral part of PDC’s mission, alongside advancing professional technology and company growth. Actively engaging in public welfare activities, PDC seeks to use its modest resources to help create a better and more inclusive society. Established voluntarily by employees in 2005, the PDC Charitable Foundation is funded annually by both employee and company contributions. With stable business performance, PDC embraces sustainability as its guiding principle, encouraging employees to participate in charitable initiatives such as disadvantaged group assistance and emergency disaster relief, fostering greater recognition of corporate philanthropy, and promoting social development.
Empowering Farmers, Preserving the Land
Since 2009, the PDC Charitable Foundation has partnered with Yilan rice farmers in the “One Acre of Rice” program, adopting rice paddies to enhance farmers’ income while ensuring the sustainable development of Taiwan’s farmlands, ecological environments, and water-soil conservation.
The organic rice harvest is sold through charity sales to raise awareness for Taiwan’s rice industry, with all proceeds donated back to the PDC Charitable Foundation for further charitable use.
Each year during the Mid-Autumn Festival, PDC’s Employee Welfare Committee supports social welfare by purchasing gift sets from local social welfare organizations, helping disadvantaged groups (such as individuals with intellectual or hearing disabilities) to create job opportunities, enhance self-worth, and sustain their operations.

HannStar Board Corporation Charity Foundation
HSB Charity Foundation The "HSB Charity Foundation" was voluntarily formed by employees within the Company. Each member donates a fixed amount from their monthly salary, with the Company matching these contributions, creating a fund for donations.
Internally, the HSB Charity Foundation assists employees who face sudden family or personal difficulties by providing emergency relief funds and living assistance. Externally, the club offers support to social welfare organizations, primarily those that help disadvantaged groups and individuals with special diseases, as needed. Through these efforts, the HSB Charity Foundation extends its charitable reach and further fulfills its mission of giving back to society.
